It goes without saying that the Picciolo Golf Club in the typical village of Castiglione di Sicilia, only half an hour away from Taormina is well worth a visit. There is nothing like teeing off in a large forest like field, knowing that you are standing on the top of an active volcano. Watching the ships head out to Africa across the Mediterranean - blue, majestic, wonderful. Fresh air and forest greenery abound, walks are certainly stimulating.
